Abstract

The article focuses on the cultural analysis of the development of creative industries in Ukraine. It highlights the significance of creative industries in the cultural and economic advancement of the country, their role in preserving national cultural values, and their adaptation to global trends. The relevance of the topic is driven by the growing importance of these industries in the modern world as a tool for innovative development and socio-cultural transformation. The aim of the study is to conduct a comprehensive cultural analysis of Ukraine’s creative industries, emphasizing their connection to a human-centered approach. Within this framework, the study defines key concepts, identifies core elements and challenges in the development of creative industries, and examines the influence of cultural values on economic and cultural processes. The research employed general scientific methods of cognition: descriptive analysis for data systematization and interpretation; comparative analysis, which facilitated a comparison of Ukrainian and international experiences; and an analytical method aimed at studying the interaction between cultural values and economic factors shaping the creative industries. The findings demonstrate that Ukraine’s creative industries, including media, art, design, music, literature, and architecture, play a crucial role in preserving cultural heritage, promoting innovation, and stimulating economic growth. The strategic incorporation of this sector into legislation in 2017 reflects its officially recognized importance. However, the underestimation of the potential of creative industries, particularly due to the isolated perception of culture and economy, hinders their development. The integration of a human-centered approach opens new opportunities for exploring and enhancing the connections between creative initiatives and economic processes. The study also highlights the challenges and prospects faced by creative industries during wartime. One of the key factors for their further development is the reintegration of professionals who were forced to leave the country due to military actions. The return and integration of these professionals into the national cultural and economic context could contribute to the modernization of infrastructure, the strengthening of international partnerships, economic recovery, and an improved quality of life in Ukraine.
