Abstract

The research vector is aimed at the cultural analysis of the phenomenon of metamodernism in the context of its historical evolution and future prospects in the creative industries. The author focuses on identifying the key features of the metamodernist paradigm, its relationship with modernism and postmodernism, as well as manifestations in various sectors of the creative industries. Accordingly, the study is based on a historical overview of the formation of creative industries and the prerequisites for the emergence of metamodernist trends. Based on a comprehensive analysis, the effects of metamodernism on the formation of cultural values, consumer practices and socio-cultural consequences are highlighted. It is emphasized that creative industries are now not only a powerful economic engine, but also a key factor in the formation and development of the cultural space of Ukraine, a driver of cultural values, identity and cultural and artistic practices. In view of this, the use of a historical approach made it possible to trace the genesis of metamodernist trends in the creative industries, to identify their roots in modernism and postmodernism, and to analyze the factors that contributed to their establishment. At the same time, cultural analysis provided the implementation of tools for a thorough understanding of the symbolic meanings, aesthetic transformations, and sociocultural consequences of metamodernist manifestations. It is argued that from the position of the cultural dimension, metamodernism is appropriate to understand as a universal perception, understanding of aesthetic and cultural preferences, which structures the sensuality of the creative industries, through the prism of the harmonious coexistence of innovation, creativity, traditions, and culture. Accordingly, it is a corresponding cultural paradigm, cultural process, and cultural practices in the creative industries environment, which are characterized by oscillation between two opposites and their simultaneous use. It is emphasized that the comprehensive study provided an opportunity not only to understand the current state of the creative industries but also to outline their futurological prospects, taking into account the challenges of the digital era, transcultural changes, and the peculiarities of the formation of modern cultural policy.
