Abstract

The article analyzes the ethnographic features of Ukrainian folk dance and their influence on the methodological approaches of ballet masters in the context of preserving cultural authenticity and adapting these features to modern choreographic trends. Ukrainian folk dance is considered as a form of folklore culture that reflects specific movements, rhythms and costumes, embodying the historical memory and cultural features of the region. The national character of this dance is determined due to its ability to reflect the soul of the people, its cultural greatness and beauty. It is analyzed how ballet masters use traditional forms of Ukrainian folk dance as a reflection of specific movements, rhythms and costumes that embody the historical memory and cultural features of different regions. It is described how choreographers convey the national character of dance through its ability to reflect the soul of the people. The historical evolution of Ukrainian folk dance is considered and how choreographers preserve and adapt these traditions, ensuring the reflection of cultural heritage in modern dance art. The ethnographic features of dances from different regions and the role of choreographers in preserving these unique cultural traditions are determined. It is found that choreographers actively study folk dance, integrate educational elements into performances and convey the meaning and features of dances. It is proven that modern choreographic approaches of choreographers contribute to the preservation of traditional authenticity and adaptation of Ukrainian folk dance to stage requirements, without losing cultural roots. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of the role of the choreographer in the preservation and adaptation of Ukrainian folk dance to modern stage requirements, which includes preserving traditional authenticity while simultaneously updating to attract a modern audience. The importance of the educational component in the work of ballet masters becomes crucial in the context of preserving and developing the traditions of Ukrainian folk dances. Master classes and educational programs conducted by experienced ballet masters contribute to the transfer of technical skills and a deep understanding of the cultural and ethnographic roots of Ukrainian folk dance.
