Abstract
The article analyzes strategies for adapting the hospitality industry to the conditions of martial law and post-war recovery in Ukraine. Particular attention is given to the implementation of innovations, resource optimization, and enhancing energy independence of enterprises in crisis conditions. The purpose of the study is to identify key directions for adapting the hospitality industry that ensure its resilience, effective functioning, and development during martial law and the post-war recovery period. The study employed general scientific methods of cognition, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, literature review, expert interviews, comparison, generalization, and a systematic approach. Data collection encompassed surveys of business owners and managers, examination of market trends, and analysis of academic sources. The research findings demonstrate that adaptation strategies for the hospitality industry under martial law include expanding the target audience through personalized service and integrating digital technologies aimed at improving accessibility and convenience for clients. The introduction of rational resource use (essentialism) enables businesses to effectively reduce costs, while a focus on energy independence mitigates risks associated with energy crises. It was established that integrating social support enhances customer loyalty, and implementing innovations ensures competitiveness in new economic conditions. Internal adaptation measures involve optimizing business processes, including cost control, monitoring market prices, developing alternative supply plans, and updating menus based on the availability of local products. Businesses are actively developing alternative interactions with suppliers, investing in their own import substitution capabilities, implementing energy-independent systems, and exploring new markets for expansion. These measures contribute to greater business flexibility, stability, and reduced dependence on external factors.
