Abstract

This article explores how digital transformation operates within enterprise innovation systems and its impact on reducing costs, accelerating internal processes, and creating competitive advantages. The purpose of the study is to determine the mechanisms of digital transformation of innovative systems of enterprises and to identify the factors that ensure long-term competitiveness in the modern business environment. It highlights that today’s intensely competitive market, combined with global uncertainty, necessitates a shift from isolated digitization efforts to a holistic integration of digital technologies across all phases of value creation. This strategy is demonstrated to facilitate a transformation in corporate culture, enhance decision-making flexibility, and allow for quick adaptation to changing demands. The study highlights several crucial elements for achieving successful digital transformation, particularly the importance of focusing on user needs in real-time and engaging partners to create additional value. The article introduces integrated models that clarify the core ideas of digital transition: it illustrates a corporate innovation ecosystem fueled by collaboration among market players and shared access to data, along with an enhanced innovation process shaped by user feedback and the capabilities of machine algorithms. The findings indicate that consistently implementing digital solutions can greatly reduce operating costs and enhance the speed of innovation. Emphasis is placed on the “synergy effect” that comes from sharing extensive data and encouraging collaboration across industries, resulting in new ways to organize production and supporting the creation of flexible business models. As a result, digital transformation enables a transition towards a platform for long-term competitiveness, allowing companies to quickly respond to external challenges, improve operational efficiency, and maintain their ability to innovate over time.
