Abstract
Effective supply chain management (SCM) is critical for educational institutions seeking to maximize resources, simplify processes, and improve overall performance. SCM concepts may be used to many aspects of the education business, including as procurement, inventory control, vendor management, distribution, and resource allocation. By implementing strategic SCM efforts, educational institutions may enhance customer service, save operational expenses, and strengthen their financial position. The article substantiates the feasibility of implementing a clear and established logistics management system to increase the competitiveness of agricultural education institutions in Ukraine and proposes its model based on the supply chain concept. The article analyses and presents a scientific substantiation of the systemic and activity-based approaches to ensuring logistics management in agricultural educational institutions. The focus is on identifying the features of supply chain management to improve operations, better outsourcing, increase profits, increase customer satisfaction, obtain quality results, and combat competitive pressure. The methodological basis of the study is a systematic approach that reveals the interrelationships of components and processes of educational logistics; an activity-based approach that reflects the properties of educational logistics. The paper specifies the idea of applying logistics in education as a theory and practice of process management and harmonisation of flows in an agricultural educational institution. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is formed by philosophical provisions on the specifics of the humanitarian spheres of social practice, the principles of management of the development of educational systems. It is noted that in the face of fierce competition in all industries, supply chain management (SCM) is gradually being perceived as a proven management approach to achieving sustainable profit and growth. This is achieved primarily by focusing on the entire SCM process to deliver the right products or services in the right quantity, to the right place, at the right time and at the lowest cost. Supply chain management is needed for a variety of reasons: to improve operations, outsource better, increase profits, improve customer satisfaction, deliver quality results, and combat competitive pressures. In the process of European integration, these characteristics are becoming more and more commonplace in the landscape of Ukrainian educational institutions, including agricultural ones.
