Abstract
In the current conditions of transformation of Ukraine's agrarian sector, intensified by military, economic, and institutional challenges, the problem of increasing motivation for farm development, an important component of ensuring food security and the sustainable development of rural areas, is of particular relevance. Farms play a key role in the formation of a competitive agricultural environment; however, their development is constrained by several factors, in particular, limited access to financial resources, insufficient level of state support, low innovative activity and high risks of economic activity. Under such conditions, the need to develop effective motivational mechanisms to stimulate the development of the farming sector is increasing. It is also important to take into account modern trends in digitalization and the integration of agrarian business into global markets. The article examines modern tools for increasing the motivation for the development of farms, taking into account the new economic and social conditions of the functioning of the agricultural sector. Theoretical approaches to determining the essence of development motivation and its role in ensuring the effective operation of farms are summarized. The key factors influencing the level of motivation of business entities are analyzed, in particular, economic incentives, state support, access to innovative technologies and markets. Particular attention is paid to the justification of a set of instruments for stimulating the development of farms, including financial and credit mechanisms, tax preferences, information and consulting support, digitalization of agricultural production and the development of cooperative relations. It is determined that the effective combination of these instruments contributes to increasing investment activity, strengthening competitiveness and ensuring sustainable development of farms. The results obtained can be used in the formation of state agrarian policy and improving mechanisms for supporting farming in Ukraine.
