Abstract
This paper discusses current issues with investment in technology firms. The significance of this study lies that investment in technology startups, other firms, and the technology sector is one of the main drivers of economic growth, creating new business opportunities, especially through the development of new technologies and digitization. Investments stimulate technological progress, which in turn affects the competitiveness and modernization of technology firms. The purpose of this study is to identify the particularities of technology companies and to determine their impact on competitiveness and economic development. This paper aims to determine the prospects for the development of investment in technology companies and the directions for improving investment policy in the technology sector. The study employs methods such as data collection and processing, quantitative analysis and synthesis, logical comparison, comparative advantage analysis, and illustrative methods. The role of investment in the technology sector and its impact on economic development was identified. The results show that investment in the technology sector is crucial for modern economic development. It opens new horizons for growth, competitiveness, and sustainable development in the context of globalization and technological innovation. Comparative characteristics of the investment strategies of large and small companies were studied. Prospects for investment development in the technology sector are identified and recommendations for improving investment policy are made. The implementation of these recommendations is an important direction in creating a favorable environment for the development of the technology sector, attracting investment, and strengthening competitiveness. Further research should focus on the mechanisms of regulation and the creation of a favorable investment climate to support startups.
