Abstract

The article examines the business planning of an enterprise’s logistics activities as a key instrument of strategic and operational management aimed at optimizing flows of resources and enhancing competitiveness. It analyzes the stages, components, and methods of this process that ensure adaptation to a changing market environment. The relevance of the topic is conditioned by the increasing complexity of logistics systems under conditions of globalization, economic instability, intensifying competition, and rapid advancement of digital technologies. Constant changes in macroeconomic parameters, political climate, and technological trends require enterprises to adopt flexible managerial decisions based on a systematic approach to planning logistics operations. The research aims to assess the expediency of implementing methodological principles of business planning for logistics activities, to determine its structural stages, functional components, and strategic priorities for ensuring sustainable enterprise development. For the analysis, a systemic approach is used, including SWOT analysis to evaluate internal potential and external environment, the normative method to determine resource needs, calculation-analytical methods to forecast financial indicators, the scenario method to assess risks, as well as simulation-modelling methods for analyzing the efficiency of logistics processes. The research materials include regulatory-legal acts and literature sources on supply chain management and logistics digitalization. The results show that business planning of logistics activities includes diagnosis of the enterprise’s condition, formulation of strategic and tactical goals, development of models of flow management, resource planning, construction of time schedules, risk assessment, organization of communication systems, and control of plan execution. Prospective further research may be directed at determining the extent of influence of digital technologies, in particular artificial intelligence and blockchain, on the process of logistical planning within enterprise operations. Also, possible lines of inquiry may become new adaptive models for small and medium enterprises in the context of business planning, as well as studying the impact of global business trends on logistics plans and processes.
