Abstract

In the context of global instability, increased competition and technological change, Ukrainian industrial enterprises are facing the need to implement adaptive management strategies. The deterioration of innovation activity in the industry caused by the economic crisis, military actions and reduced investment threatens the competitiveness of enterprises. In this context, it is relevant to study the mechanisms of adaptation of industrial enterprises to modern challenges and analyze the reasons for the decline in their innovation activity. The purpose of the study is to assess the impact of transformational changes on the activities of industrial enterprises, identify key barriers to innovative development and develop recommendations for effective management under conditions of uncertainty. The analysis showed that adaptive management systems are key to ensuring the flexibility of industrial enterprises. The use of strategic planning tools, digital technologies, Big Data, and artificial intelligence allows to optimize production processes and increase their efficiency. The study has confirmed that Lean management and Agile approaches facilitate rapid adaptation to market changes and minimize risks. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the innovation activity of Ukrainian industrial enterprises, which has significantly decreased due to the destruction of production facilities, reduced state funding for science, limited access to international investment, and difficulties in technology transfer. It was found that insufficient interaction between science and business is one of the main constraints to innovative development. The results of the study indicate that further development of industry in Ukraine requires the introduction of adaptive management strategies aimed at preserving production potential, attracting investment and enhancing innovation. It is necessary to expand support at the state level through tax incentives, grant programs, and partnerships between business and research institutions.
