Abstract

The article explores modern approaches to the design of energy systems in Ukraine’s agricultural sector. It emphasizes the importance of energy systems for the stable operation of agricultural production and their impact on the economic efficiency of the agrarian sector. Key challenges in energy supply are outlined, including energy instability, dependence on imported resources, high tariffs, and insufficient grid capacity in rural areas. The article analyzes the main principles of designing energy systems for agriculture, which include energy efficiency, reliability and continuity of supply, integration of renewable energy sources, system flexibility and adaptability, minimal environmental impact, and the use of digital technologies. Special attention is given to the implementation of SMART GRID technologies, energy consumption automation, and the use of intelligent networks. Contemporary technologies and energy solutions are discussed, which help reduce the agricultural sector’s dependence on traditional energy carriers. These include the use of solar power plants, wind turbines, biogas facilities, and energy-efficient solutions for agricultural enterprises. The prospects of decentralized energy supply through microgrids and autonomous energy systems are also highlighted. The article outlines the main stages of designing energy systems for agricultural enterprises, including the analysis of energy needs, development of feasibility studies, selection of optimal technologies, creation of financial models, and implementation of energy management systems. It identifies key factors that support the successful adoption of innovative solutions in the energy supply of the agricultural sector. Practical recommendations are proposed to improve the efficiency of energy resource use in agricultural production. These include conducting energy audits, modernizing equipment, implementing the latest energy-saving technologies, and increasing farmers’ awareness of effective energy management.
