Abstract

The article attempts to find ways to solve the problem of improving the quality of training for electrical engineering specialists by implementing innovative teaching methods. The publication provides a critical analysis of traditional approaches to teaching the "Fundamentals of Electric Drive" course, noting their inconsistency with the dynamic requirements of modern industry. The proposed methodology is based on the principles of the Total Quality Management (TQM) concept, adapted for the educational environment. It provides for the continuous improvement of educational programs, tools, and processes, ensuring high-quality learning at all its stages. A key innovation is the application of knowledge management, which is seen as a tool to transform the educational process from a passive accumulation of information into an active formation of intellectual capital. The presented results indicate a significant increase in the level of material comprehension and the development of skills needed to solve real professional problems among students. Particular attention is paid to the competency-based approach as a response to modern challenges and labor market demands. Based on this analysis, the article describes and substantiates the effectiveness of innovative teaching methods, including interactive lectures, simulation exercises, and interdisciplinary projects. The conclusions of the work confirm that the combination of TQM principles, knowledge management, and a competency-based approach ensures effective quality management of specialist training, making them competitive and ready for professional activity.
