Abstract

The article examines the theoretical foundations of the Industry 5.0 concept and the peculiarities of AI transformation of enterprises in the modern digital economy. It is determined that Industry 5.0 reflects the transition from exclusively technology-oriented digitalization to a comprehensive development model in which digital transformation is combined with human-centricity, resilience, environmental responsibility, and the intellectualization of management systems. It is substantiated that, unlike Industry 4.0, which is primarily focused on the automation of production processes and the creation of “smart factories,” the Industry 5.0 concept emphasizes the integration of human intelligence, creativity, and professional experience with the capabilities of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. It is established that the key characteristics of the new development model include human–machine collaboration, adaptability of digital systems, and a focus on ensuring sustainable and innovative development of modern enterprises. The paper reveals the essence of AI transformation of enterprises as a process of systematic implementation of artificial intelligence technologies into managerial, production, and analytical processes of modern business. The main directions of AI transformation of enterprises are systematized, including the intellectualization of management systems, digitalization and automation of business processes, transformation of production and quality management, development of human-centric personnel management, digital transformation of customer interaction, and ensuring sustainable enterprise development. It is proven that the comprehensive integration of AI solutions contributes to increasing the adaptability, competitiveness, and operational efficiency of modern enterprises. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the problems and risks of AI transformation of enterprises related to cybersecurity, the opacity of AI systems, the lack of digital competencies among personnel, the high cost of digital modernization, and dependence on digital infrastructure. Based on the research results, a step-by-step algorithm for enterprise AI transformation under Industry 5.0 conditions is proposed, including the assessment of enterprise digital maturity, the formation of digital infrastructure, the integration of AI solutions into business processes, the development of personnel digital competencies, and the establishment of an AI risk management system.
