Abstract
The article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the role of the agro-industrial complex as a strategic instrument for strengthening Ukraine’s economy in the face of modern challenges. The purpose of the article is to comprehensively analyze the role of the agro-industrial sector as a factor in strengthening Ukraine’s economy, identify current challenges and problems in its development, and justify the prospects for improving the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex in the context of strengthening its impact on economic growth and ensuring the sustainable development of the state. The structure and economic potential of the agro-industrial complex are examined, and its impact on GDP formation and the country’s export potential is determined. The main problems of the agro-industrial sector’s development are characterized, particularly the consequences of military aggression, technological backwardness, environmental challenges, staffing issues, and the limited effectiveness of state support. Features of state policy for supporting and regulating the agro-industrial complex are discussed, as well as European integration processes in the agricultural sector. The article substantiates promising directions for developing the agro-industrial complex, which include the implementation of modern technologies, development of organic production, digitalization, increasing the added value of agricultural products, rural development, attracting investment, and improving competitiveness. Strategic priorities for the post-war recovery of Ukraine’s agro-industrial sector are defined. Strategic priorities for the post-war recovery of Ukraine’s agro-industrial sector have been identified, in particular: improving legislation on the land market with stronger mechanisms to protect the rights of owners and developing legal mechanisms for the restoration of de-occupied agricultural territories; creating an effective system of agricultural risk insurance and developing legislation on “green” recovery; improving the regulatory framework for stimulating innovation and providing legislative support for the introduction of digital technologies; completing the harmonization of legislation in the field of standardization and certification in accordance with EU requirements; legislatively strengthening the capacity of state agribusiness management bodies and reforming the agricultural education system to train personnel with new competencies.
