Abstract

The rapid evolution of automotive technology and the increasing demand for highly qualified specialists in vehicle maintenance necessitate innovative approaches to training within higher education institutions. The relevance of this study is underscored by the global shift toward digitalization and practice-oriented education, which challenges traditional teaching methodologies in the field of “Technical Operation of Vehicles.” In Ukraine, where the automotive industry is a critical economic sector, the quality of specialist training directly impacts labor market competitiveness and national economic development. The primary aim of this research is to investigate innovative methods as tools for enhancing the quality of training for specialists in technical vehicle operation, with a focus on integrating modern technologies, practical training, and alignment with European educational standards. The study seeks to identify effective pedagogical strategies and material-technical requirements that can address existing gaps in the preparation of automotive professionals. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the relevance of implementing innovative methods into the educational process to improve the quality of specialist training in the field of automotive technical maintenance. It analyzes key tools that allow for a transition from an outdated, reproductive approach to interactive, practice-oriented learning, which meets the modern requirements of the labor market. Special attention is given to simulation and project-based learning, as well as the use of virtual and augmented reality technologies. It is determined that the application of these methods has a direct impact on the quality of material assimilation. They not only increase the interest and motivation of students but also contribute to the development of their critical thinking, teamwork skills, and the ability to solve complex production problems effectively. In addition, specific measures are proposed for improving the physical and technical infrastructure of educational institutions, which is a necessary condition for the successful and complete implementation of these innovative methods into the educational process.
