Abstract

In today’s global business environment, international companies face high market turbulence, rapid technological changes, and transformation of consumer needs. Traditional strategic management models focused on long-term planning and fixed goals no longer provide the necessary flexibility and adaptability. In this context, the ecosystem approach is an effective tool for increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of companies. The study focuses on the specifics of integrating the ecosystem approach into the strategic management of international companies, identifying key elements of business ecosystem participants. It has been established that participation in ecosystems contributes to the scaling of innovations, cost optimization, rapid adaptation to market changes, and the formation of digital platforms with a synergistic effect. An important aspect is the integration of sustainable development principles and ESG approaches, which increases the trust of investors and society. The practice of well-known international companies demonstrates that an ecosystem strategy allows creating a long-term competitive advantage and opening new markets. The study also showed that the effective implementation of the approach requires rethinking business models, developing a culture of cooperation and active use of digital technologies. In addition, an important condition is the creation of flexible management mechanisms capable of ensuring a balance between the interests of various ecosystem participants. This makes it possible not only to ensure stability in the short term, but also to lay the foundation for innovative development in the future. The formation of new partnerships and strategic alliances that enhance the effect of interaction within the ecosystem also plays a significant role. The results emphasize the importance of the ecosystem approach as a key tool for strategic management of international companies in a dynamic global environment. The practical significance of the study lies in the formulation of recommendations for companies on the implementation of the ecosystem approach in strategic management, in particular, we considered the main stages that, in our opinion, are key to the successful implementation of this approach.
