Abstract

The article examines the philosophical dimensions of the Ukrainian Sixties movement of the 20th century as a separate cultural phenomenon and its place in philosophy. It is determined that the philosophy of the Sixties movement prompted the emergence of neo-Marxism in Soviet culture and its development. The Sixtiers philosophers founded the Kyiv Worldview and Anthropological School, within which a reorientation of philosophy took place, which to a large extent became the basis for the emergence of philosophy from – under the yoke of totalitarian ideology The aim of the work is to conduct a historical and philosophical analysis of the phenomenon of Ukrainian Sixties and to identify the peculiarities of the philosophical representation of its worldview and value orientations, which reveals the essence of the influence of the Sixties on the formation of pro-European strategies of domestic philosophizing, as well as creating prospects for understanding the axiological component of Ukrainian culture as a basis for researching contemporary ontologies of thought and enabling a more active application of philosophical methodologies for analyzing the ontological and worldview foundations of our culture and the prospects for its further development. The research methodology is based on the study and analysis of a collection of philosophical, socio-humanitarian and literary texts. The historical-philosophical approach to the problem prompted the use of methods that allow research to be conducted in the direction of classical, non-classical and post-non-classical philosophical systems. Summarizing the influence of the 1960s on the development of neo-Marxism, it should be noted that in the second half of the 20th century, in Ukrainian philosophy, which at that time was part of general Soviet philosophy, neo-Marxism emerged as a counterweight to the official canonical philosophy of Marxism, being its main opposition. In this context, it was the Sixtiers philosophers who became the main driving force behind neo-Marxism. By developing new approaches within the framework of neo-Marxism, the Sixtiers philosophers fought against the totalitarianism of Soviet Marxism in philosophy. The ideas of the Ukrainian Sixties have a significant influence on contemporary Ukrainian culture in general and philosophy in particular. The ideas of the Sixties became the ideological foundations of contemporary culture. The values of humanity, freedom, spiritual development, individuality, nationhood, Ukraine, and democracy, as established by the Sixties, are an important element of the worldview of contemporary Ukrainian society.
