Abstract
This article examines investment in the innovative development of agricultural enterprises as a complex economic system encompassing a range of forms, phenomena and processes associated with the identification, mobilization, allocation and utilization of financial resources for the implementation of innovations. Such a system has its own structure, internal interrelationships and implementation mechanisms, which ensure technological renewal, digital transformation, modernization of production processes and increased competitiveness of enterprises. The modern scope of investment in the innovative development of agricultural enterprises is expanding through the adoption of digital, information technology and platform-based models for financing and managing investment processes. This involves the use of agricultural technologies, precision farming systems, digital monitoring, automated resource management, big data analytics, electronic services and new sources of financial support for innovative activities. At the same time, the development of investment support for agricultural enterprises is hampered by a shortage of financial resources, a lack of highly qualified personnel, insufficient state support, limited access for small and medium-sized enterprises to investment sources, as well as risks and losses caused by Russian aggression, infrastructure destruction, landmining, and the instability of martial law. The specific features of investing in the innovative development of agricultural enterprises are reflected in significant differences between large agribusinesses and small and medium-sized enterprises. Large agribusinesses have greater opportunities to attract investment, implement digital technologies, modernize their technical and technological base, and carry out large-scale innovative projects. In contrast, small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises are often constrained by financial, human and organizational resources, which slows down the pace of their innovative modernization. Large agribusinesses can be viewed as practical examples of investment in innovative development within the context of the digital economy and the transition to high-tech systems. Their experience is important for identifying promising directions for the modernization of the agricultural sector, but it needs to be adapted to the capabilities of small and medium-sized agribusinesses, taking into account available resources, regional conditions, military risks and the needs of post-war recovery.
