Abstract

In today's environment of global economic transformation and increasing competitive pressure, the innovative development of enterprises is becoming increasingly important for ensuring their sustainability, competitiveness, and growth. Traditional innovation management models give way to new approaches focused on openness, flexibility, digitalisation, and sustainable development. The study aims to identify and summarise the key current trends in the management of innovative development of enterprises in the global context. The study's methodological basis is an integrated approach combining system analysis, comparative analysis, content analysis of modern scientific publications for 2015–2024, and methods of generalising scientific information. Special attention is paid to the analysis of examples of the practical implementation of innovative models in the activities of leading international companies. The study analyses modern foreign scientific literature and the practical experience of international companies. It has been found that the key current trends in managing the innovative development of enterprises are the development of the concept of open innovation; the digital transformation of innovation activities using artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data and innovation platforms; formation of innovation ecosystems and strategic partnerships; use of flexible methodologies (Agile, Lean, design thinking) to manage innovation processes; consideration of innovations in the context of sustainable development of enterprises. The development of human-centred, ethical, and climate technologies is also traced. The peculiarities of the practical implementation of these approaches are systematised. The study's results confirm that effective management of the innovative development of enterprises in today's conditions requires the integration of open innovations, digital technologies, the formation of sustainable partnerships and a focus on sustainable development goals. Systematic consideration of the identified trends contributes to increasing enterprises' innovation capacity and long-term competitiveness in the face of global challenges. Prospects for further research are the development of mechanisms for adapting the best international practices to the conditions of the national economy.
