THE ROLE OF JUSTICE AND ETHICS IN MODERN SOCIETY

Abstract

The article examines the role of justice and ethics in modern society, in particular in the context of social, legal, and technological changes. The relevance of this topic is due to the modern challenges facing the globalized world, where issues of ethics and justice are becoming important for ensuring sustainable development and harmony in society. The study examines the main theoretical approaches to understanding justice and ethics, ranging from the classical concepts of Plato, and Aristotle to modern theories, such as John Rawls’ theory of justice and human rights ethics. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of ethical aspects of new technologies, in particular in the issues of artificial intelligence, genetic modifications, and bioethics, which pose new moral dilemmas for society. The study aims to determine the importance of justice and ethics for the development of institutions, and legal systems, as well as for social cohesion in a globalized world. To achieve this goal, methods of comparative analysis, content analysis, and empirical research are used, which allow us to identify important aspects of the impact of ethics on various spheres of public life, such as law, economics, social policy, and technology. Comparing the experience of different countries, in particular Scandinavian, European, and North American, helps to identify effective practices for integrating ethical standards into legislative and social processes. The results of the study show that justice and ethics are the main factors that determine the level of development and stability of society. In addition, the need to improve ethical norms and principles for effective management in the face of new global challenges facing the modern world is emphasized. The conclusions indicate the importance of integrating ethical standards into public administration and social initiatives, which will contribute to the development of a just and moral society.
