Abstract

The article examines the relationship between leadership styles, corporate culture features, and management effectiveness in organizations. Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign sources, empirical data, and the results of expert surveys, it was found that the synergy between adaptive leadership and flexible corporate culture is a crucial factor in achieving high performance of management decisions. A model of harmonization of leadership approaches and cultural archetypes is proposed as a tool for the strategic development of organizations. In the modern dynamic business environment, organizations face constant challenges of adaptation, innovation, and maintaining internal stability. In conditions of rapid change, soft management factors, in particular leadership and corporate culture, acquire special importance, which are increasingly considered as key determinants of organizational success. However, despite the growing number of studies, the issue of consistency of leadership approaches with the cultural characteristics of the organization remains understudied in the context of management effectiveness. Insufficient consideration of the cultural context when choosing a management style leads to a decrease in staff motivation, an increase in resistance to change and, ultimately, to a deterioration in performance indicators. The existing fragmentation of theoretical models complicates the practical application of the concepts of leadership and culture in a single management system. The purpose of the study is to analyze the relationship between leadership styles and types of corporate culture and to develop a model of their harmonization in order to increase the effectiveness of organizational management. Existing approaches to the classification of leadership and corporate culture are summarized. An empirical test of the hypothesis about the impact of their consistency on management effectiveness is conducted. The results of the study show that management effectiveness increases significantly under conditions when the leadership style is consistent with the dominant cultural archetypes of the organization. In particular, transformational and adaptive leadership in combination with a clan or adhocratic culture provide the best indicators of staff involvement, innovation and resilience to external challenges.
