Article retraction is a mechanism for adjusting the content and scope of published materials on the journal's website and informing readers about it. The author, reader or editorial board member can initiate the retraction process.

The grounds for removing the article include:

- establishing that the article was previously published in another publication;

- detecting the fact of fabrication or falsification of data in the study;

- identification of significant errors in the article that have led to a distortion of the scientific novelty or results;

- identification of a co-author who does not meet the journal's requirements for authorship;

- existence of a conflict of interest or other violations of publication ethics;

-  identification of an author in the article who is affiliated with the aggressor country.

The withdrawal procedure can be initiated by the editor-in-chief or at the official request of the author who has expressed a desire to withdraw his/her article.

If a corresponding author or a group of authors wish to withdraw their article, they should send a letter to the editorial board's official e-mail address with a request for withdrawal explaining all the circumstances of their decision. After reviewing such a letter, the editorial board conducts a retraction procedure if it agrees to the withdrawal.

The editorial board may also withdraw a published article based on the peer review results or on additional information from external sources that justifies the need for withdrawal. In this case, the editorial board sends an official letter to the corresponding author explaining the reasons for the withdrawal and draws up the relevant protocol of the editorial board.

At the end of the procedure, the article remains on the journal's website, but with the mark "REFUSED/RETRACTED" and the relevant withdrawal date.

A corresponding author may withdraw the original published article with deficiencies and replace it with a corrected version. In such a case, the retraction procedure will be followed. However, the retraction notice will link the corrected and republished article and the document's history in the database.
